| Carolyn is an experienced litigator and counselor at the firm. Her practice has always focused on civil litigation, beginning as a paralegal and law clerk for a Philadelphia firm in 1991. She has been with Godin & Baity since 2001, and became a principal of the firm in January 2006. For the last eight years, Carolyn has represented a variety of entities in commercial litigation, including construction professionals, commercial entities, and software manufacturers. Her current practice emphasizes defense of construction professionals in construction defect litigation and commercial entities in personal injury matters. Carolyn has represented developers, builders, and other construction professionals involving community-wide and single family residential construction defect allegations, as well as commercial construction claims. She has addressed issues involving building envelope, civil, geotechnical and structural engineering claims. Carolyn has extensive experience representing commercial entities in personal injury matters, involving negligence, premises liability, and wrongful death claims. Carolyn's detailed knowledge of the intricate facts of her cases results in early resolution of disputes, thereby avoiding the necessary expense and time associated with lengthy trials. Carolyn was a member of the J.D. Edwards & Company and PeopleSoft trial team. She also has an additional ten years of litigation experience in plaintiff environmental matters and insurance defense.
